Context: my colleague at work Neil makes knives out of sheep shears. He was generous enough to let me play around with them.
Project: I felt like using the plastic for quite some time (again thanks to Neil's entousiasm) and that was the perfect opportunity for it. Just needed to figure out which plastic would work best with the steel of the blades.
Result: I hence made some handles out of recycled HDPE, specifically milk bottles which allow for that Damascus steel kind of look. I am very happy both with the process of making them and the result.
